10:10 call to order.
• Dove - Wants to approve the FAQ Sexton drafted.
Sexton - Motion to approve the What's Open/What's Closed FAQ.
• Dove - 2n0
• Dove - yes, Shonkoff - yes, Sexton - yes.
• Dove - The Governor announced that outdoor dining will be allowed. Asked how
many restaurants have outdoor dining?
o Delios - Detailed how special zoning would allow for certain restaurants to be
able to use public parking spaces for outdoor dining. She Is talking with the
Select Board to be able to make that happen. The BOH can also help other
businesses by not enforcing parking requirements at restaurants that own
their parking lots, to allow them to use those lots for outdoor dining.
Dove - Asked how many plan to open that are currently closed?
• Vlasuk - Only one has requested to open so far.
.. Dove - asked how many need re-inspection to open?
• Vlasuk - It's tough to say since places aren't calling to let us know
they plan to.
• Delios - Informed the board, that school nurses are available until the end of the
school year on June 19, 2020. There are plans ongoing to be able to keep them on
through the summer. The easiest way is for us to reimburse the schools and have
the schools pay them over the summer. There are 3-4 nurses that can help this
summer with contact tracing.
.. Sexton - Do we know if the 2 retiring nurses will be available to help starting
in September?
• Delios - Yes, but they need MAVEN training first.
• Delios - We need to decide on how we want to allocate the grant funds.
Dove - Said we can't use it for PPE.

BOH - Discussed what staff we can use this money for. It's slated for COVID-
19 relief on additional staffing needs.
• Dove - Survey results are in, but in a small sampling so far.
o Sexton - Who did we push it out to?
• Shonkoff - Reading Facebook site.
• Sexton - We should push it out to our database of emails.
• BOH - Wants to get it out to as many people as possible.
• Dove - BOH talking about what updates we have for the Select Board.

Outdoor dining
• Delios - Asked the board if they were okay with not enforcing the zoning on private
parking lots so the restaurants can use those spots for outdoor dining?
., BOH - All were in agreement that they were fined with that.
Command called into the meeting at 11:10am.
• Burns - Updates to the goals.
Burns - Goal #1 Resident Assistance. Need to make sure we are allocating
the gift cards we received to those who need them.
• Lelacheur - We need to be sure what the needs are so we can respond
accordingly.
Burns - Goal #3 Bringing Staff Back. Plans are underway to begin this
process.
Burns - Goal #4 Elections and PPE for staff.
• Dockser - Wanted Command to know that the Select Board and BOH
have a strong feeling that the joint election on September 1, 2020 is
the preference and that the Select Board will take it up at their 6-3-
2020 meeting.
• Dockser - Town Meeting info is coming in from the state legislature
and the Select Board needs to call it by Friday in order to have Town
Meeting on 6-15-2020.
• Command - discussing how Town Meeting can work and how Town
Meeting Members without technology can be part of a virtual Town
Meeting.
0 Burns - Goal #5 Camps. No summer or Rec programs are happening as of
now.
• Dockser - Asked if we have updates on the summer lunch program?
• Dowd - Still waiting on the state on one piece to that program.
• Burns - Goal #6 Closed Business Reopening. We will assist in any way possible to
help.
Lelacheur - Discussed the zoning requirements and how the Select Board and
BOH can alleviate some zoning requirements to help out.
• Burns - Goal #7 Financial and Budgetary Issues. We have begun the reimbursement
process.
o Dockser - Asked if it's true that the schools are going to get hit with a $500K-
$Imil cost for PPE?
• Dowd - Masks will need to be in ample amounts for all kids and
multiple ones per kid. Temperature checks will be needed to enter, so
thermometers are needed. Other PPE for staff as well.
• Dockser - So we need to start obtaining large amounts of PPE
now?
c Dowd - They are planning on both scenarios, on-site
and at home schooling.
• Lelacheur - There are funds available to Reading for this.
• Burns - Goal #8 Public Health.
Dove - We have leveled off, but the next two weeks could see an uptick due
to people gathering to protest.

• Burns - Goal #9 PPE Purchases. Facilities is monitoring the stock and can order as
needed.
• Vlasuk - Is getting complaints about Parker Middle School and improper disposal of
PPE.
I Dowd - The school will take care of cleaning it up.
• Dove - Asked how we want to receive info over the weekends for the number of new
cases?
.: Vlasuk - We get one update once per week on Wednesdays.
• Lelacheur - Suggested our web site reflects the fact that it is updated
only once per week.
• Dove - We'll plan to update the web page on Wednesdays at 4pm.
