She is very much against that and wants to know how many our town has. The board agreed with her. Delius- Updated the board on her request to the procurement officer. They said if we wanted to hire a PR firm to put together a public information campaign, that we could spend up to $10,000. o Sexton- Added that with the Federal Government accepting our Governor's request to declare a Disaster Declaration for Massachusetts, that we may be eligible for up to 75% reimbursement. Vlasuk- Brought up the idea of having a blood drive in town, that supplies are low. The board determined that the Red Cross was the right entity to handle that and Vlasuk was going to reach out to them. Dove-Was asked by Select Board member Karen Gately Herrick, about high density housing. What would the Bull's plans be if a resident tested positive for COVID-19. o Vlasuk- Described the way it needs to be reported. The person gets tested, the doctor reports to the state, the state makes the name available in Maven, our public health nurse can then access that system (Maven] and see if we have any new residents testing positive. If there are, the nurse then calls the person to inform them they need to self-quarantine for 14 days. The nurse then will request the names and phone numbers of everyone they have been in contact with, so they can be notified about the contact with a person Page 1 1 rR Town of Reading fe a Meeting Minutes e PJfgMOPPOP! testing positive for the COVID-19 and to self-quarantine themselves for 14 days too. o Sexton- Mention how a news report told of a retirement complex having S positives in their building and that home quarantined all residents to the home. But that was a decision made by the private retirement home and not one that came from the local Board of Health. Dove- Asked if we should add to our web site, the State's self-diagnostic tool Bouy, which lets residents go through a series of questions to determine if they should get tested for COVID-19? o All agreed that it would be a good idea to put it on there. - Vlasuk- Confirmed the emails went out to the businesses about keeping employees and customers adhere to the 6-foot minimum distance at all times in their stores and to give adequate breaks for employees to wash their hands and sanitize them. - Dove- Will be updating the Select Board about what the BoH has been doing during this pandemic, at the SB's tele-meeting on April 1, 2020. - Sexton- motion to adjourn o Shonkoff- 2A o Role call vote- Sexton-yes, Shonkoff-yes, Dove-yes Page 1 2
