Topics of Discussion:
Agenda
Ms. Dove suggested including PR/PSA campaign items in the Select Board meeting update on April 1", 2020.
(Mr. Sexton joined call at 10'.11 am.)
Mr. Sexton asked Ms. Delios for information regarding whether the Board would need to receive bids to have a
firm involved in our PR/PSA campaign. Ms. Dove will ask the Town Manager if this is reasonable or if it would
make more sense to receive assistance from Jayne Wellman, who is already maintaining the social media and
webpages.
Ms. Vlasuk noted the President had extended the social distancing guidance to April 30t', 2020. Mr. Sexton
slated he thought the Governor would likely do the same. The Board decided to wait again on the extension of
the ban on personal care services to see if the Governor extends his order.
Mr. Sexton mentioned he had seen data suggesting Massachusetts might hit its peak caseload in mid-April.
• Discussion and sharing of covidl9.healthdata.org
Ms. Dove noted the Swampscott Board of Health and Select Board issued a joint Stay-al-Home Order following
the Governor's Stay-at-Home advisory.
• Unclear if that would have any additional impact over the orders our Board has
already made
Discussion of enforcement
• Ms. Dove will speak to Command about the possibility of issuing language to allow
law enforcement officers to levy fines for non-family groups on public land
• For food retail establishments, the inspector can enforce the Governor's Orders
o Will wait on pushing enforcement mechanism until we get feedback from
inspector on initial findings

Ms. Vlasuk sought clarification regarding whether she should be ordering supplies, such as masks, gloves, and
sanitizer. Ms. Delios stated all ordering would go through Facilities due to their greater purchasing power, but
that the town could still seek reimbursement from the state for these items. Ms. Vlasuk will not be responsible
for ordering any supplies.
Ms. Dove asked fellow Board members to report on Wednesday if they have specific items they would like
shared in the Select Board meeting update that evening.
Board agreed to abide by DPH guidance and cease posting of case numbers in Reading. Ms. Vlasuk should
continue reporting numbers to the Board. Ms. Dove will ask Command if they would like numbers as well.
Mr. Sexton made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Ms. Shonkoff.
