Resources employee actions over the past year.
The number of upgrades, new hires, promotions
and reactivations include both seasonal and
regular employees.

Altus Dental
The Town recently transitioned our
book of business from Altus Dental
to Blue Cross Dental Blue in July of
2019. The new plan offered our
active employees a 13% reduction
in premium costs while maintaining
the same coverage..
Blue Cross Dental Blue
The Town offers a group dental policy
through MIIA as of July 2019. This
cost is paid 100% by the employee
and is only offered to active
employees.
Benefits
Blue Cross PPO & HMO
We offer health insurance benefits
through MIIA Health Trust to all our
employees. The Town carries 71% of
the cost while the employee
contributed 29% of the premium.
Public Employee
Committee
The Public Employee Committee is a
representative group of all Town
Unions. This group convenes several
times per year to discuss changes or
potential changes in our health plan
offerings.
Dependent Care
Our Flexible Spending Accounts also have a
component to allow pre-tax dollars be put
aside through payroll deduction to pay for
dependent care. Families can set aside up to
$5,000.00 for the upcoming year 2020.

The Town offers our active employees
the opportunity to enroll in an FSA.
This allows the employee to put aside
up to $2700.00 pre-tax dollars into an
account to be used for medical co-pays,
equipment and a number of other IRS
approved expenditures.
