Questions Submitted for MCAS 2019 Accountability and Achievement Reporting
Ashley Quinn
1.Overall I am curious if you think student behavior is an issue and plays a part in class room learning
and potentially low/static growth for last years 4th grade class? I feel fortunate that Corson has been in
some really great classrooms but I know in the past there have been some challenging classrooms so
curious if you see this as an issue in students abilities to learn(or are distracted by others behavior etc).
2.Are there any other factors that either you or the teachers have discussed in terms of looking at 2019
results as it relates to low/static growth.
3.As for Mathematics assessments in the past...it seems from your presentation that the district wide
formative assessments are new and a plan for more frequent now and going forward. I was just curious
if you could give me a quick run down of what was being done prior to Mrs Leonard coming on board.
4.What do the states"declined" note mean?
5. Once your student growth cohort is set does it change year to year or does it stay the same from the
1"year you take it?

6. How does our scores compare to the state?
7. Parents would like to know how to support and talk to their children about MCAS? So parents can
help put out fires at home?
8. What about comparing the school to the district?
