HomeMy WebLinkAbout1979-04-19 Board of Public Works Minutes April 19, 1979 ' Meeting of the Board of Public Works convened at 7: 30 P.M. in Room 16, Municipal Building. Present were Secretary Price, Board Members Cowell , DeHart and Wood and Superintendent Louanis. The Finance Committee was repre- sented by Paul Metcalf and Jose Canto. The Superintendent assumed the Chair to reorganize the Board. Mr. Price was elected Chairman by secret ballot and Mr. Cowell was elected Secretary by secret ballot also. Mr. Price assumed the Chair and called for the appointment of a Superintendent and Clerk of the Board by ballot and E. Roger Louanis was appointed. Board members were assigned to various committees, as follows: Don DeHart School Building Committee David Testa Recreation Committee and Ad Hoc Committee Douglas Cowell Northeast Solid Waste Committee Gail Wood 129 Reconstruction Committee John Price Law Committee Douglas Cowell Alternate to Law Committee ' It was moved, seconded and voted to accept the minutes of the meeting of April 2, 1979 as written. It was moved, seconded and voted to accept the minutes of April 9, 1979 as written. Mr. Price read letter from David Testa indicating his preference for Chairman, Secretary and Superintendent and Clerk of the Board which coincided with the actions of the Board. The Board read note from the Superintendent regarding a Hearing for Mr. Winkler to be set on April 30, 1979 regarding Mr. Winkler ' s request to be reinstated.
