HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-03-11 Board of Public Works Minutes March 11 , 1978 Meeting of the Board of Public Works opened in Room 16, Muni— cipal Building at 9:00 A. M. Present were Chairman Dustin, Board Members Russell and Cowell , Superintendent Louanis, Acting Assistant Superintendent Bergeron and Assistant Engineer Redford. The Board discussed the Sanitation Division Budget with the con— tract option for rubbish collection and disposal . After much dis— cussion, it was decided to take advantage of the substantial budget cut with the contract option. The Board reviewed Budget sheets and took the following action: Sheet #11 Rubbish Collection and Disposal — approved at Salaries $4, 158.00 — Expenses $199,980.00 = Total $204, 138.00. Sheet #12 Sanitary Landfill and Recycling — approved Salaries at $29,382.00 and Expenses at $20,075.00 = Total $49,457.00. Sheet #19 Equipment Replacement Program — This was reconsidered due to the impact of the Sanitation Division going to Contract ' for Rubbish Collection and Disposal . The Equipment Re— placement Budget previously approved can be reduced with reuse of existing equipment. It was moved, seconded and voted to reapprove Equipment Replacement at $59,500.
