December 5, 1963
1 Meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30
P.M. in Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Watt, Secretary Kenney, Board
Member Cochrane and Superintendent Welch.
Read note from Superintendent relating to proposed
new minimum salaries and two proposed classification changes.
It was moved, seconded and voted to submit all three
proposals to the Personnel Board for approval.
Read report from Superintendent relating toEgreement
reached with insurance adjustor on building damage to garage and
damage to contents. Agreed amounts are as follows: -
1. Damage to Building $42,353.28
2. Damage to Inventory 11,582.47
It was moved, seconded and voted to approve the settle-
ments and to forward them to the Insurance Committee with the
recommendation that the agreed amounts be approved and a settle-
ment made.
Considered proposed 1964 budget. Several budget items
were discussed but final action was not taken on any.
It was moved, seconded and voted to omit the regular
meeting of December 23, 1963.
Meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M.
