The meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P.M.
Chairman Zanni, Secretary Harrison, Board Members Florence
and Leonard and Superintendent Welch were present.
Records of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Read note from Superintendent giving resume of Joint Meeting
of Tuesday, January 19, 1960 relative to Mineral Street bridge.
The problem was discussed in detail including legal problems,
repairing bridge, grade crossing, etc. It is expected that defi-
nite information will be available about the legal matters by
April 1, 1960.
It was moved, seconded and voted that due to the imminence
of more specific information the Board will, at the Special Town
Meeting of February 8, 1960, introduce a motion to indefinitely
postpone action of the repairs to the bridge and with the further
understanding that a special Town Meeting will be held in iiay to
request funds for either a grade crossing or repairs to the
bridge.
Received letter from Selectmen relative to the proposed
sale of land off Harold Avenue and off Haverhill Street.
It was moved, seconded and voted that the Board inform the
Selectmen that they have not any use for the land off Harold
Avenue, and suggesting that the sale be conditional on the reten-
tion of an easement for a public way, and the further provision
that the lot be added to an existing lot.

' Received letter from State Department of Public Works
listing the following 1960 allotments:
State County Town
Chapter 90 Construction 15,000 7, 500 7,500
Chapter 90 Maintenance 1, 500 1, 500 1,500
It was moved, seconded and voted to notify the Finance
Comm. that the proposed 1960 Town Appropriation of jv6,500
for Chapter 90 Construction should be increased to 47, 500.
Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on proposed sewer easement from
Lawrence Road to Main Street through lands of Villella and
DiMassino.
The following persons were present:
Mr. Bruno Villella - In favor
Mrs. Ruth Villella - It it
Mr. Domineck DiMassino - it it
Mr. Villella and Mr. DiMassino will write to the board
suggesting certain arrangements about frontage assessments and
house connection charges. The Board will consider them and
notify owners of their decision.
Hearing at 8:30 P.M- on proposed sewer easement from
Monroe Avenue to Winslow Road through lands of Weicker and Carlson.
The following persons were present:
Mr. William Weicker - In favor
Mrs. Jean Weicker - " It
Mrs. Elvira Carlson - " It
It was agreed that the Department would check up on the
location of some trees and bushes on the lceicker property and

so design the sewer that little or no damage would be done to
them.
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 P.k.
