Leonard MC/ Isl Uoleman J, vonanue " Read report of Superintendent suggesting two methods of repairing Mineral Street Bridge. They are: - ' A. Remove entire deck, remove about 2 inches from top of 8x16 stringers, add 2-inch planking to stringers, replace deck, fences, etc. This is, in our opinion, the minimum that can be done . The resultant structure could carry a maximum load of 6 tons but should probably be posted for 7 tons. The resultant bridge would have a probable life of 8 to 10 years. We estimate the cost to be $p10,200. . B. Remove entire deck, install additional stringers (6x16) , replace deck, fences, etc. This, in our opinion, is a somewhat better approach to the problem. The resul- tant structure could carry a maximum load of 12 tons but should probably be posted for 10 tons. The resultant bridge would have a probable life of 12 to 15 years. We estimate the cost to be $13,000. It was moved, seconded and voted to request an appro- priation of $13,000 and to take bids on both methods and at a later date to consider the matter of building a trestle type side- walk. Received two petitions for acceptances of streets as public ways. They are Linnea Lane and Swan Road.
