The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was
opened at 7:00 P. M.
Chairman Donahue, Secretary 'Lanni, Mears. Florence,
Harrison, Kilgore, and Superintendent Welch were present.
Conferred with Selectmen relative to following items:
1. Control of fires at Dump.
2. Release of land at Dump location for
use by private industry.
Conferred with following abuttors on Vista Avenue who
requested the li inch water main be replaced with a larger main.

Mr. Franklin Faucher Mr. William MacNair
' Mr. Henry Andrews Miss Pearl Campbell
They presented their case but no commitments were made by
the Board.
Hearing at 8:00 P. M. on the proposed acceptance as a
public way of a portion of Cape Cod Avenue from the end of the
present public way to Lowell Street.

It was moved, seconded and voted to recommend to the
Town the acceptance as a public way of the above described
portion of Cape Cod Avenue.
Temporarily adjourned at 8 :30 P. M, to meet as Board of
Survey.
Reconvened at 9:30 P. E?.
Hearing at 9'30 P. M, on the proposed acceptance as a
public way of Condor Rd, from Pearl St. to a dead end approx. —
375 feet westerly.

Mr. Mason stated he had a cellar drain which was laid
Lunder and across Condor Rd. He requested provision be made
for it. It was agreed to do so and to leave a stub for Mr.
Fontaine to also connect.
It was moved, seconded and voted to recommend to the Town
the acceptance as a public wap of the above described Condor Rd.
Received letter from State Dept. Pub. Wks. stating that
Commissioners have approved work done under the 1958 West St. Chap.
90 Constr. contract.
Considered request of hmerson Willard, 56 Pine Ridge Rd, for
an abatement on his January 1958 water bill of $45,00. $D#IitDA�ettt.
It was moved, seconded and voted to abate the sum of X615.00
L on the above described water bill.
Discussed proposed sewer construction program for the
years 1959 to 1963.
Postponed action.
Discussed petition filed by certainamployees that they be
placed under Civil Service by vote of the Town on the Annual ballot.
No action taken.
