AND VISITED THE SITE OF THE PROPOSED WELL AT 100 ACRE AND TOURED THE 100 ACRE WELLFIELD AREA. THE BOARD CONVENED IN ROOM 16, MUNICIPAL BUILD- ING AT 7:45 P.M. PRESENT WERE CHAIRMAN KENNEY, SECRETARY HODGKINS, BOARD MEMBERS COCHRANE AND WRIGHT AND SUPERIN- TENDENT WELCH. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING READ AND APPROVED. IT WAS ANNOUNCED BY THE CHAIRMAN THAT EDWARD WRIGHT HAD BEEN APPOINTED PUBLIC WORKS REPRESENTATIVE TO THE SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION COMMITTEE AND GEORGE HODGKINS TO THE RECREATION CONNITTEE. THE BOARD OPENED BIDS AT 6:00 P.M. ON ONE NEW BACKHOE AND FRONT END BUCKET ON WHEELS. THE BIDS FOLLOW: H.F.DAvis TRACTOR CO. 1967 WHITE-OLIVER 2-78-17 NET $10, 970. 00 ROCK DRILLERS SUPPLY CO. . INC. CASE D680 NET $12, 015. 80 CLARK-WILCOX GO. DYNAHOE MODEL 160 NET $15, 425. 00 THE BIDS WERE TAKEN UNDER ADVISEMENT. IT WAS MOVED, SECONDED AND VOTED TO GO INTO ESECUTIVE SESSION. THE BOARD NET WITH MR. STARKEY, CHAIR- MAN OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD TO DISCUSS THE PROBLEM OF OB- TAINING AND RETAINING EMPLOYEES FOR THE DEPARTMENT, PRI- MARILY AT THE LABOR LEVEL. MEETING CONTINUED IN OPEN SESSION. PUBLIC HEARING WAS HELD AT 6:30 P.M. IN REGARD TO TAKING AN EASEMENT FOR DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE PURPOSES THROUGH PRIVATE PROPERTY NORTHERLY OF MAPLE RIDGE ROAD. NOBODY ATTENDED THE HEARING . RELEASE FROM DAMAGES HAD BEEN SIGNED PREVIOUSLY. MR. COCHRANE MOVED, MR. WRIGHT SECONDED AND IT WAS VOTED TO APPROVE THE TAKING . THE BOARD SIGNED THE ORDER OF TAKING. PUBLIC HEARING WAS HELD AT 6:35 P.M. IN REGARD TO TAKING AN EASEMENT FOR DRAINAGE AND SEWERAGE PURPOSES THROUGH PRIVATE PROPERTY NORTHERLY OF BREWER LANE. NOBODY ATTENDED THE HEARING. RELEASE FROM DAMAGES HAD BEEN SIGNED PREVIOUSLY. MR. COCHRANE MOVED, MR. WRIGHT SECONDED AND IT WAS VOTED TO APPROVE THE TAKING . THE BOARD SIGNED THE ORDER OF TAKING. READ NOTE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT IN REGARD TO THE GENERAL VACATION PERIOD. MR. COCHRANE MOVED, MR. HODGKINS SECONDED AND IT WAS VOTED THAT MR. WELCH 'S SUG- GESTION BE FOLLOWED, Z.E. , JULY 8 THROUGH JULY 23, 1967.
