MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE LAW COMMITTEE
HELD APRIL 25, 1949
A meeting of the Law Committee of the Town of Reading
was duly held in the Municipal Building on Monday, April
25, 1949 at 9:00 P.M., notice of such meeting having been
forwarded to each of such members, giving the time and
place thereof.
There were present, Kenneth C. Latham, James E. Calvin,
Joseph D. Knight, Charles R. Baisley, M.D. and Harold B.
Carrell, being a majority of the Law Cof=ittee.
The meeting was called to order by Kenneth C. Latham.
Harold B. Correll was duly elected Clerk.
Samuel I1. Davis was nominated as a candidate for Town
Counsel for the ensuing year and upon motion duly made and i
seconded, Mr. Davis was unanimously chosen Town Counsel for
the term commencing April 15, 1949•

Mr. Davis thereafter was present at the meeting and
reported progress on the land taking from Ralph Heselton,
for the High School. -
Mr. Davis also reported that the suit brought against
the Board of Appeal by Mr. Harvey Reich of North Reading,
has been dismissed.
No further business being brought before the meeting,
it was upon motion duly made aid seconded, VOTED: to adjourn.
Adjourned, 9:20 P.M.
