A brief meeting of the Law Committee will be kield on Friday evening, June 22nd, at 0 o'clock, in the 301sct- men' s office. Albert N. Leman, Chairman a Friday, June 22, 1934 A meeting of the Law Committee was called at 8:45 P.M. Present were Messrs. Leman, Putnam, Horrocks and Halligan. The Town Counsel was present and statedthat in the Gray Case he had written up an agreement releasing the Town from further liability and had asked the mortgagee to sign. This they refused to do unless the money was given to them. He stated that the bank holding the mortgage has no claim against the Town and then asked that permission be given to settle the case upon receiving the signatures of the Grays along. It was then moved and seconded that the Town Counsel make an adjustment of the case with the Grays. It was so voted. The Desmond Case was then discussed. Miss Desmond contends that there was a defect in the sidewalk on Winter Street. It was then moved that the Town Counsel settle with Miss Elizabeth Desmond for a sum not to exceed X75.00.
