HomeMy WebLinkAbout1934-02-16 Law Committee Minutes February 16, 1934 A meeting of the Law Committee was held this day at 9:15 P.M. Messrs. Cook, Leman, Halligan, Johnson, Coolidge and Putnam were present. Mr. Cook told of the various cases pending and possible cases which might be entered against his Board which it would be necessary to settle. After discussing the cases it was moved that $ 200.00 be made available for the Assessors to settle the cases now pending, namely Mary Sullivan, Andrew Christenson, Ray Spevak, and it was so voted. The town counsel was then called and he explained that the cases of Mildred Gray and Ida C. Smith had now been placed on the short list of the court and that they would come to trial in a very short time. It was moved that the town counsel find out what settlement can be made in each ease and report at the next meeting. It was so voted. The meeting adjourned to meet at 9:00 P.M. on Friday next.
