A meeting of the Board of Public Works convened in Room 16,
Municipal Building at 7:30 P.M. Present were Chairman Cowell, Secretary
Wood, Board Members Fallon and Barker and Superintendent E. Roger Louanis.
The Board reviewed the following Articles to be submitted to be
included in the Annual Warrant for the Spring Town Meeting:
Article for the acceptance of D Street as a Public Way.
Article to accept State Highway Funds, Chapter 732 of the Acts
of 1981 in the amount of $36,906 and,
Article to change the Personnel By-Law regarding overtime for
Supervisors at time and one-half and,
Article to change the Personnel By-Law to upgrade the two
Assistant Superintendents from Labor Grade 10 to Labor Grade 11.
The Superintendent reported to the Board that the Departments'
Subcommittee on Personnel had met with the Personnel Board on the 10th and
it now appears that the Personnel Board was prepared to submit Articles
covering the Board of Public Works proposed Personnel By-Law changes.
After a short discussion, it was moved, seconded and voted to
table further action on all Articles until February 16th.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
