A meeting of the Board of Public Works convened in Executive
i Session at 10:30 P.M. Present were Chairman Barker, Secretary Hampson,
Board Members Polychrones, Griffin and Boucher and Supt. A.V. Fletcher,
F.E. Also present was James O'Leary of the Finance Committee.
Chairman Barker stated he received a call from Town Counsel. The
matter regarding Vining is greatly improved. He expects to come before
the Board very shortly and that all necessary civil and criminal actions
have been taken. At this time, there does not appear to be a need for

rebidding.
James O'Leary of the Finance Committee stated several weeks ago,
I appeared before this Board concerning this matter. Some question was
i
raised as to the business of the Finance Committee to look into this
matter. The Chairman of the Finance Committee has discussed this situation
with Town Counsel and he has agreed to come before the Finance Committee.
I am here to remind you that under the By-Laws of the Town, the Finance
Committee doe5shave full power to involve themselves in any investigation
of any Department in any ligitation matters.
Mr. Griffin asked what is the status of the labor negotiations?
Supt. Fletcher replied thus far the only ones that have
officially settled are the public w�rrks labor force.
The meeting adjourned at 10:35 P.M.
