Florence, Harrison, Kilgore, Superinten- dent Welch present. Mr. Florence acted as Secretary. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Signed Commitment Sheet to Assessors for sewer house connection charges at 57 Village Street. Received letter from Anthony Pagano stating he has decided, for personal reasons, not to accept the position of Civil Engr. in Reading. Considered note from Supt. relative to brush at dump. Note sug- gests burning area after snow is on ground. Temporarily adjourned at 8:30 P. M. to meet as Board of Survey. Reconvened at 9:00 Y. M. Received letter from Jeremiah Hynes, 37 John Street, requesting he be not required to pay $75.00 water service pipe fee for house built on John Street at the old laundry location because a service existed although he was denied the previlege of using it. Voted not to grant request. Considered listing of following prices for Bituminous Concrete Pavement. For Ty 2 1 Warren Bros.—EoadZ`o: - - - $6.25 per ton Trimount Bit.Conc. Co. - - - - $6.60 per ton For Type D Barrett Co. - - - - _ _ _ _ _ $6.90 per ton Mass. Broken Stone Co.- - - - $7.45 per ton Voted to award contract to the Barrett Co. for Type D Bituminous Concrete. This is for recovering parts of Salem Streets, Linden Street ' and Chute Street. Considered following bids for Storm Drain Construction in Franklin Street and Main Street. , The Dow Co. - - - - - - - - - - 616,697..75 Crognale Constr. Co.- - - - - - 18,081.25 A. Dellesandro & Sons - - - - - 24,528.00 Bennedetto Bros. Inc. - - - - - 26,036.00 Voted to award contract to The Dow Co. as per above bid.
