Regular meeting of the Board opened at 7 :30 P. M.
LPresent were Chairman Johnson, Messrs, Hopkins, Zanni, Donahue and
Superintendent Putnam.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.
Signed payroll and Vouchers' for payment, '
Town Counsel Carl H. Amon, Jr. visited the Board to discuss the
application of the Board to the Housing and Home Finance Agency, Community
Facilities Administration of the Federal Government for funds with which
to conduct a Water Adequacy Study. Town Counsel Amon reported of confer-
ences he had held with Mr. Lester Hill of said Agency regarding said appli-
cation.

recommended for filling with surplus excavation from West Street Ch.90
Construction for the purpose of constructing a temporary playground on
school site property.
The area recommended is in the North-Westerly corner of the school
site, bounded by Garrett and Shelby Roads, is quite low, and includes a
deep dry gulch. The officials present signified their approval of the
proposed work. Would now request permission that the Board to carry on
this work, if surplus material from construction projects is available.
SUPERINTENDENT
Moved, seconded and voted to authorize Superintendent to fill area
designated in Glen Meadow School site, if surplus fill is available.
Received report from Superintendent regarding trespass of 72" West-
Willow-Summer Avenue culvert hadd and wing-walls on property of Roderick
Hogan, 20 Summer Avenue, Reading, No action taken by Board, pending fur-
ther negotiations between Mr. Hogan and the Superintendent.
Preliminary hearing neld on Boards' approval of lines and grades
of 'Y' (Private) Street Easterly of Libby Avenue, presented by Charles
W. Heinstrom. Plan tentatigily approved, subject to securing by Mr.
Heinstrom of the two corner roundings at Libby Avenue from the two pro-
perty owners effected.
