Regular meeting of the Board opened at 7 :30 P. M.
Present were Chairman Johnson, Messrs. Donahue, Zanni, Kilgore, and
Superintendent Putnam.
Minutes of previous meeting read and approved.
Signed payroll and vouchers for. payment.
Joint meeting spheduled with the Recreation Committee for 7 ;45 P. M.
postponed to meeting of June 3, 1957 at request of Reareation Committee.
Public Hearing held at 8;00 P. M, in Room 14, Municipal Building,
on easement for drainage purposes through private property from Milton
Road to Wescroft Road. Present were the owners of the two abutting pro-
perties, who expressed their opinions as noted:

Moved, "seconded and voted to. take drain easement as planned.
Puolic Hearing held at 8:30 P. M. in Room. 19 Municipal Building
regarding the installation of a bituminous macadam sidewalk on Oak Street,
from No.' 52 Oak Street to West Street, under the Betterment Act. Present
were the following abutting property ,owners, who, when polled, expressed
their opinions as noted:

Received letter from T. F. Hanron, State Dept. of Public Works
District 4 Engineer, that West Street Chapter 90 project had been sent
to 100 Nashua, St&et for finals and bidding. Communication Noted.
Discussed request from abutting property owner to hold a Public
Hearing on acceptance as a Public Way of County Road, from Lewis Street
to West Street. Moved, seconded and voted to hold a public hearing on
said acceptance.
Discussed proposed extension of Jacob Way through Addison-Wesley
property at some length. Moved, seconded and voted to approve final lo-
cation as proposed by Addison-Wesley.
Considered Arc Welder, Portable, bids. Delayed action on purchase
of welder pending further investigation. '
Considered crawler tractor bids. Superintendent instructed to
obtain field demonstrations of Terratrac and John Deere units.
Reviewed bids on Hydraulic Truck Crane. Granted Superintendent
further time to investigate various units bid .
Examined, approved for Superintendentts signature, the following
Registry of Deeds plans;
