HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956-04-10 Board of Public Works Minutes 271 April 10, 1956 Special meeting of the Board opened at 8 :00 P. M. Present were Chairman Johnson, Messrs. Kilgore, Zanni and Superintendent Putnam. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. The re-bid sewer bids for Willow Street sewer construction were opened 4t at 8:10 P. M. Newton, owner of A. C. Construction, regarding his bid figure on Item 13 as written in on bid form, which was given in bid as follows: "Item 13 - For 2 vertical drops at manhole station 15497 .0 including furn- ishing and placing all V. C. pipes and Fittings and Brick Masonry or Concrete required for encasement, the sum of, Three Hundred Dollars (15,655.75) lump sum." Mr. Newton stated to the Board that his intent was to bid #300.00 as his lump sum bid on Item 13, and that he had erroneously given the total bid figure of $15,655.75 on Item 13, which was actually the total lump sum bid for the entire contract. Moved, seconded and voted to instruct Superintendent to check bids, prepare report on same, and report back to Board at next meeting. Bids taken under advisement pending Superintendentst report.
