Donahue, Johnson, Zanni and Superintendent Putnam. Secratary Donahue acted as Chairman pro tem. Minutes of meeting held January 9, 1956 read and approved as cor- rected . Received verbal report from Superintendent of proposed change in .location of Aberjona Brook to eleminats threatened injunction by property owner on Longwood Road. _ Received letter from Edward C. Abeley, 241 Pearl Street, request- ing relief from surface water ponding in front of his premises. Super- intendent instructed to write Mr. Abeley and advise him that condition Iwould be corrected when funds are available. Received, letter from Chris Coviello Contractor, stating that he would continue work on his 1955 sidewalk contract when weather permitted, at same bid prices. Moved, seconded and voted to extend completion date _ ofsaid contract. Signed three seas of contract for 1955 West Street Chapter 90 Construction contract with S. Rotondi & Sons, of Stoneham, as contractors. Wi, Jfr'1 <Met with Messrs. Sartorelli, Birchall, Miricl,,and.representing Realty Construction and Engineering Co., Inc, developers of Glen Meadows Estates in. Reading, Several phases of development installation discussed, including Aberjona Brook relocation, sewer and water main installations, bonding of roads, etc. Judge Sartorelli agraed to write letter to Board defining work which would be done by Realty Construction in the develop- 174 ment. Moved, seconded and voted to permit Realty Construction in this development to ,record entire development under recorded agreement pro- hibiting conveyance of any lots abutting streets not bond :d, to bond sections of Glen Meadows as requested by Realty Construction, the Board to then grant partial releases on bonded sections. end Preliminary examinations made of proposed change of grade on Hen- zie Street, and layout of a proposed roadway off Forest Street to be known as Marla Lane. Mr. Domenick Lanni, the Board of Public Works representative on the Special Committee for School Sites and Recreational Sites, presented reports of his committee for the Boards? examination, and requested that a joint meeting of the Board of Public Works and the School Site and Recreational Site Committee be held on Monday evening, January 16, 1956. Moved, sec- onded and voted to hold this joint meeting at 9:30 P . M. January 16, 1956. Moved, seconded and voted that all construction trenches, be they contractors, public utility or town departments trenches, henceforth be temporarily resurfaced, nine months after initial opening be excavated for filling with a proper 1211 gravel fill, and then permanently patched with a suitable resurfacing material. J Moved, seconded and, voted to petition Personnel Board to approve starting rate for William A. Fennelly as Highway Foreman at $85.00 per Week. Board Adjourned at 11:10 P. M.
