Meeting Minutes = Board - committee - Commission - Council: Uif DEC 4 AM 10: 14 Board of Cemetery Trustees Date: 2019-09-10 Time: 6:00 PM Building: Reading Town Hall Location: Berger Room Address: 16 Lowell Street Purpose: General Business Attendees: Members - Present: Virginia Blodgett, Ron Stortz, William Brown, Carl McFadden, Caitlin Salmon, Brian Boyle Members - Not Present: Others Present: Jane Kinsella, Director; Michael Hannaford, Supervisor; Michael O'Halloran, Administrative Specialist; John Halsey, Select Board; Elise Ciregna; Mr & Mrs Vats Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: William Brown Topics of Discussion: Town of Reading Board of Cemetery Trustees Tuesday, September 10, 2019 Pursuant to a meeting legally posted, the meeting of September 10, 2019 convened at 6:00 P.M. in the Berger Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading Town Hall. Present: Virginia Blodgett, Chairman Ron Stortz, Vice Chairman William Brown, Secretary Carl McFadden Caitlin Salmon Brian Boyle Also Present: Jane Kinsella, DPW Director; Michael Hannaford, Supervisor; Michael O'Halloran, Administrative Specialist; John Halsey, Select Board; Elise Ciregna; Mr & Mrs Vats Review of Past Meetine Minutes The Minutes of June 25, 2019 were reviewed and approved by a vote of 6-0 on a motion by Carl McFadden and seconded by Ron Stortz. General Business Mr & Mrs Vars requested and the Board voted 6-0 to allow the um of Audrey Harvey to be interred pending approval of legal requirements. The Board voted 6-0 to allow Willa Dyment to install a headstone over her lots 442 & 443 at Wood End. The Board voted 6-0 to allow Robert Hallstrom to have the granite marker with his son's name on it Page 1 1 Town of Reading 0 Meeting Minutes The Board discussed at length a scattering garden at Forest Glen. It was mentioned by Bill Brown that Wilmington & North Reading had them. The Chair suggested each member visit one. Elise Ciregna stated that she was involved in the development of one in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston and she would provide the Board with more information at our next meeting. Michael H had concerns about leaves etc. in the fall. After discussion the majority of the Board and Michael H agreed that the paving was not needed in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Michael O stated to the Board that family arranged cremation burials take a lot of extra time, and that there are more and more of them. Adjourn The meeting adjourned at 7:00 PM.
