April 29, 1996
The Finance Committee met at 7:19 p.m. in the Auditorium of Reading Memorial High School.
Present were Chairman Steve Blewitt, Vice Chairman Jim Keigley, FinCom members Gerry
MacDonald, Tom Green, Nate White and Carol Grimm. Also present were Town Manager Peter
Hechenbleikner, Conservation Commission Chairman Nancy Eaton, Community Development
Director Jonathan Edwards.
The Town Manager noted that the dollar amount for line J2, Northeast Regional Vocational
School District has changed to $92,976. This is $500 more than previously noted. On motion by
Blewitt seconded by Grimm, the Finance Committee recommended the sum of$92,976 for line J2
by a vote of 5-0-0.
The Town Manager presented a Reserve Fund Transfer request in the amount of $4,000 to
conduct appraisals for the property under Article I I off of Pasture Road. The Town will be
reimbursed for 60% - 62% of this cost if we are successful in getting the grant. On motion by
Grimm seconded by MacDonald the Finance Committee voted to approve a Reserve Fund
Transfer in the amount of$4,000 by a vote of 6-0-0.
