_ Meeting of the Finance Committee January 5, 1934.

i The meeting was called to order at 8.10 P.M. by the Chairman. This
was a meeting postponed from December 29, 1933, called for the purpose
of voting transfers from the Reserve Fund.
The following transfers were voted:
On motion of Mr. Connelly it was voted to transfer $25.00 to Board of Assess
ora Expense.
On motion of Mr. Scott it was voted to transfer $150.00 to Election and
Registration Expense.
On motion of Mr. Knox it was voted to transfer $50.00 to Municipal Building
Expense.
On motion of Mr. Devaney it was voted to transfer $50.00 to Police Depart-
ment Maintenance.
On motion of Mr. Connelly it was voted to transfer $250.00 for the Low Case
Expenses.
It was the sense of the meeting that sessions be held on Tuesday
evenings, beginning January 9th.
Members present : Chairman Mount, Devaney, Crocker, Connelly, Merrill,
Knox, Scott, Roberta, Canty, and Currell.,

Meeting of the Finance Committee January 9, 1934.
The meeting was called to order at 8.10 o'clock. The records of the
last meeting were read and approved.
Copies of the 1934 estimated of the School Department, Board of Public
Works and Library were furnished to each member present. There was a
general discussion of the budgets as presented, but no action was taken.
The Chairman of each sub-committee was urged to begin consideration
by its committee, of the respective budgets..
It was announced that the Special Committee of the Light Department
would meet at the Municipal Light Board office on Friday evening and that
this Committee would report to the Finance Committee on Tuesday evening
January 16th, and that a public meeting would be held on Tuesday evening
January 23rd.
Members present : Chm. Mount, Connelly, Roberts, Scott, Raley. Currell,Knox,
Merrill? Canty. >
