The meeting was called to order at 8.30 P.M. . The records of the
last meeting were read and approved.
This meeting was held to consider the warrant for Special Town Meeting,
December 12.
The Board of Selectmen appeared asking for appropriation from available
funds for Soldiers' Relief, Article 41 825.00 for medical treatment for
Officer Hutchinson, Art. 5; and for authority to sell Hose House on Main
Street, Art. 6. Also Article 2, acceptance of voluntary contributions.
The Board requested transfers from the Reserve Fund to the following
accounts: Collectors Expenses 95150.00, Election & Registration Expenses
9300; State Aid 9150.
The Board of Public Welfare appeared for Article 3, asking for
appropriations from available funds for the Public Welfare Department.
The Board of Public Works, Mr. Fairclough, Acting Chairman, appeared
for Articles8 to 15 inclusive.
A communication was received from the School Department stating that
4600 would be needed for the payment of bills for vocational school tuition.
It was voted to authorize the Town Accountant to transfer from the Reserve
Fund the following amounts to the respective accounts :
Collector' s Expense $150.00
Eledtion & Reg. Exp. 300.00
State Aid 150.00
Ifocational School
Tuition 600.00
It was voted to recommend the acceptance of the voluntary contributions
from Municipal employees under Article 2.
It was voted to recommend Article 5, and the 925.00 be transferred from

Under Article 6, Sale of ' s` House, it was voted "Be-ne,k--reeemmend%
Under Article 3, it was voted to recommend the appropriation from
available funds of $30,000.00 for Public Welfare, divided as follows5
Aid, Board & Care 9, 20,000.00; Temporary Aid 96000.00; Old Age Assistance
4000.00, the amount to be provided as follows: ;5000 from Interest Account,
13,000 from Voluntary Contributions and 912,000 from the Municipal Light
Fund.
It was voted under Article 4 that the balqnce of voluntary contribu-
tions be appropriated for Soldiers' Relief.
® The Committee made no recommendations on Articles 7 to 13 inclusive.
Under Article 14, the laying out of Fair Road, it was voted to
recommend the appropriation of unexpended balances in Longwood Road and Libby
Avenue Accounts amounting to 9737.24.
Under Article 15, Acceptance of Pension Act, the vote was "Do not
recommend".
Meeting adjourned at 10.50 P.M.
