L It was voted to instruct the clerk to affix the names of the entire �I Committee to the report on the annual warrant for 1930. Adjourned 10.30 P.M. Members present : Chm. Mount, Burgess, Bryant, Connelly, Devaney, Ellison, Fairchild, Haley, Killam, Knox, Moyer, Porch, Scott, Briggs, Grimes, Clem Meeting April 29, 1930. A meeting of the Yinance Committee was held and as required by Town- By-Laws, Robert B. Mount was chosen Chairman. Adjourned: Members present : Chm. Mount, Burgess, Bryant, Connelly, Ellison, Fairchild, Grimes, Killen, Knox, Scott, Briggs. Meeting September 29, 1930. The meeting was called to order at eight o'clock. The chairman read a letter from Reading Post #62 American Legion re- lative to ent4r Gaining Victory Post Bugle and Drum Corps, msathington, D.C . Louis Davis presented the matter and asked for an appropriation from the Reserve Fund of $300. Capt. Hugh L. Eames, Supt. Fire Alarm appeared asking for a transfer of $745 to carry on. reconstruction work made necessary by the renewal of poles of the N.E.T. & T. Co. on which the fire alarm wires are placed. The Board of Selectmen, Trevor, Morrison, Sweetser, appeared for a 4 transfer of 1300 Tree Warden account to finance tree work for the remainder 16r of the year. Also requested necessary transfer for Soldiers, Relief account. On motion of Mr. Killam it was voted that $300 be appropriated from the Reserve Fund to. be expended under the direction of Post #62 American Legion as provided by Chapter 67 of the Acts of 1930. On motion of Mr. Burgess, it was voted that $745 be transferred from the Reserve Fund to the Fire Alarm account. On motion of Mr. Killam it was voted that $300 be transferred to Tree Warden Account. On motion of Mr. Bryant it was voted that $81000 be transferred to Soldiers ' Relief account. September 29, 1930. Cont. Adjourned: 9.20 P.M. Members present: Ohm. Mount, Killam, Bryant, Haley, Burgess, Ellison, Grimes and Fairchild. C Meeting November 20, 1930. A meeting of the Finance Committeewas held to consider articles in the warrant for a special Town Meeting to be held December 1, 1930. The Board of Public Welfare represented by Mrs. Daniel, Chairman and Mrs. Leman appeared for Article 2 calling for an appropriation of $4,500 for Aid, Board and Care and $500 for l'emporary Aid. The Board of Selectmen appeared for Article 3 calling for an additional appropriation of !'.1,200 for Soldiers ' Relief; also requesting that $100 be transferred from the Reserve Fund foe Forest Warden expenses; $100 for care of Pbiice Station; $1,000 additional appropriation for Miscellaneous Expense Account in order that work be furnished for unemployed and an additional appropriation of 150 for Selectmen's expenses. It was voted under Article 2 to recommend an appropriation from E & D account of $4,500 for Aid, Board and Care and $500 for Temporary Aid. It was voted under Article 3 to recommend an appropriation from E & D Account of 51,200 for Soldiers' Relief. It was voted under Article 4 to recommend appropriation from E & D Acct. of $450 for Vocational School Tuition. It was voted under Article 5 to recommend appropriation from E & D fleet. of $1,300 for Care of Contagious Diseases. It was voted under Article 6 to recommend appropriation from E & D Acct. of $2,000 for the Reserve Fund. It was voted to authorize the Town Accountant to make the following transfers from the Reserve Fund to the respective accounts: Forest Warden Expense $100; Care Police Station, $100; Miscellaneous Expense Account $1000; Selectmen 's Expense $50; Total $1,250. It was voted under Article 12 to recommend a transfer of $100 from the Birch Meadow account for the purpose set forth in this article. Adjourned 10.30 P.M. Members present : Chm.
