Reading, Mass. , October 9, 1950
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P.M.
Chairman Calvin, Messrs. Donahue, Hopkins, Walker and Super-
intendent Welch were present.
Records of two-meetings read and approved.
Received letter from Finance Committee inviting Board to attend
a meeting on November 6, 1950 to discuss the Road Machinery Fund and
the Road Machinery Operating Account.
Voted to publish article in Chronicle notifying Chronicle that
prechlorination of water ceased on Tuesday October 3, 1950.
Temporaraily adjourned at 7:45 P.M. to meet as Board of Survey.
Reconvened at 8:30 P.M.
Considered request of Frank Merrill and Royal Jaques that
they be relieved of paying the fee for extending the water main in
Wentworth Road and Margaret Road respectively.
Voted that it will be necessary for both Merrill and Jaques
to pay the fee.
Following Granolithic Sidewalk application received, approved
and placed on file:
Edward Hurley 34 Dudley St. ✓
Voted to meet with Mr. Silas Carroll on Sunday, October 15,
1950 at 9:00 A.M. at his home on Grove St. to discuss land taking
for well purposes.
Conferred with Mr. Warren Charles and Mr. Sidney Hodson
representing Masonic Temple Corp. , relative to storm drainage system
at Main and. Haven Streets .
Agreed to clean out drain southerly from Haven Street.

Signed plans for Gas Main locations in Edwia. Rd. and Crosby Rd.
Voted to hold next meeting of Board on October 23, 1950.
