The meet L,g was called to order at 8:00 P . M.
In the absence of the Clerk W. A. Haley was appointed Clerk pro tem.
This meeting was called at the request of the School Committee
and Chairman Spencer stated that owing to unforeseen outlays made nec-
essary by occupying the new Junior High School they were obliged to
ask for additional money and requested transfer from the Reserve Fund.
It was voted that the sum of $1154.33 bar transferred fromthe Reserve
t Fund to the School Maintenance account.

Meeting January 16, 1928
The meeting was called to order at 8.00 P. M• by Chairman Ruggles.
Mr. A. N. Mansfield appeared for the Public Library Trustees and
presented the budget for the Library for 1928. He also brought up
the matter of the purchase of the coal supply for the entire town after
advertising for bids.
It was voted that the Lown Accountant be authorized to transfer
fromthe Reserve Fund the following amounts to the respective accounts:
Treasurerts Exp. 3 3.21
t Election Exp. 4.72
Police Dept. Exp. 167.66
Fire Alarm Exp. 1105.42
Forest Warden 44.18
Moth Dept. 10.12
Snow & Ice Account 351.68
Aid, Board & Care 76.63

The meeting adjourned at 10.00 P.M.

Meeting January 23, 1928.
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by the Clerk, in the
absence of Mr. Ruggles on account of illness.
Mr. Dickie was chosed Temporary Chairman.
The Board of Public Works, thru its Chairman Mr. J.T!. Owen ,
presented the budgets of the Water, Highways,Sidewalk & Bridges, Drain-
age, Sewer, and Park Departments.
It was requested that the Board submit an itemized budget of the
proposed Highway expenditures.
The members oft he Board present were Chm. Owen, Messrs, Davis,
Wallace, Brown, and Supt. Collins.
The School Committee appeared on the budget of 1928. Those present
were Ch. Spencer, Collidge, Carnes, Temple, Fowler, and Supt. Safford.
