( The meeting was called to order at 8 oOclock by Chairman Mount. \/ The School Department Budget was first taken up and checked,item by item, and it was voted to request the School Comittee to appear again on February 22nd. It was voted to approve the £ollowinZ appropriations : Assessors' Salarlea µ1800, expenses µl400, clerical 2720. Voted to recommend appropriation for Laurel Hill Cemetery from the tax levy, .196371 and appropriation from Cemetery Reserve Fund as called for in Article 31, 1500. Voted to recommend appropriation of 01500 for development of Forest Glen Cemetery. Voted to recoimnend for Public Library Maintenance 13000, Salaries ^4500. It was moved thet the salary of the Tax Collector be fixed at $2600. Three voted in favor, five aainst, three not voting. It was then moved g that the salary be fixed at ,2300. Seven voted in favor, three against, one not voting. Voted to recommend 16300 for Health and Sanitation. Voted to -recommend '113,000 for street lighting. It was voted to recommend 411 other appropriations asked for under General Government as estimated in the various budgets. It was also voted to approve the following amounts under General Accounts : Miscellaneous expenses ? 2500, Municipal Building maintenance ti000, Fire Station maintenance and repairs 41600, G.A.R. Rooms light $25, Insurance " 2500, Interest µ33,000, Maturing Debt '38,000 . It was voted not to recommend purchase of additional fire apparatus called for in Article 35. The sub-committee (Mr. Haley, Mrs. Sweetser, and Mr. Fairclough) appointed to investigate the repairs to Richardson house, recommended that the amount 62000, asked for in Article 12 be approved. It was voted to recommend µ2000 to be expended under the firection of the Board of Selectmen. Adjourned 10.30 I .M . Members present: Chm.
