It was recommended that $450 land damage estimated under Article 30 be provided for by the appropriation of ,$50 unexpended in 1928, which was appropriated for a similar purpose. It was voted to reconsider recommendation of $150 for lighting Victory House and not to recommend such expenditure. It was also voted not to recommend X500 asked for under Article 37. The matter of making some arrangement whereby the Victory House could obtain the financial assistance by the Town in a legal way was discussed at some length. No action was taken. It was voted to instruct the Clerk to append the names of the entire t Committee to the report as printed. Adjourned 2 P.M. Members present: Chm. Mount, Devaney, Fairchild, Haley, Knox, Morrison, Porch, Scott, Sweester, Clerk Meeting April 17T 1929. _ A meeting of the Finance Committee was held in accordance with f Section 2, Article 6 of the by-Laws, celled to order by the Town Account- ant. The following members were sworn:by.L.G.Bent, Notary, acting for the Town Clerk: William A. Haley, Edward S. Scott, Orlando C. Moyer. New members of the Committee : Laura S. Gordon, Forest H. Brvant, Pearl M. Burgess . Robert B. Mount was nominated for Chairman and by unanimous vote the clerk was authorized to cast one ballot for Mr. Mount and he was declared elected. No business was transacted but the matter of the stand-pipe for water supply was discussed informally, and a meeting appointed for Sunday, April 21st, at the pumping station. 4 Adjourned 8.35 PM I Members present: Ch.
