HomeMy WebLinkAbout1926-11-11 Finance Committee Minutes Meeting November 11, 1926. A special meeting was called at the request of the Board of Public Works. Chairman Owen, Messrs. Higgins, Carter and Superintendent Collins appeared and presented the need of the purchase of heavy truct for snow work. The estimate cost of which was $5800. Beside the amount available from the Highway Account and the 40 Snow and Ice Account it was estimated that$2200 would be needed and the request was made to the Financial Committee to provide this by transfer from the Reserve Fund. After the matter was discussed the action of the Board of Public Works was commended for their action in providing for future needs. It was voted that the Town Accountant be authorized to trans- fer from the Reserve Fund to the High Way Account a sum not to ex- ceed $2200. It was voted that the sum of $310 be transferred from the Re- serve F,md to the Tree Warden Account and that $200 be transferred 410 to the Public Library Account. The Chairman spoke of the advisability of a get together meeting of the Finance Committee and the various committees and various boards and Town officials early in January 1927. The meeting adjourned at 8:45 P.M. Members present at this meeting were: Ch. Ruggles, Briggs, Morrison, Fairchild, Moyer, Scott, Farnum, Porch. L. G. Bent Clerk
