Meeting May 20, 1926.
The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M.
The Chairman, Otis B. Ruggles referred to Article 7 of the
warrant and recommended after explanation that the matter referred
to be indefinitely postponed. It was so voted.
Chairman A. R. Shepardson of the School Committee was present
with further figures regarding needs of additional School buildings .
A letter was presert from Theodore Warddell in regard to the
financing of future Municipal expenditures and especially in regard
to School Buildings . After discussion at length it was moved by
Mr. Farnum and seconded by Mr. Morrison that the committee recommend
under Article 4 a construction of a J'dnior High School Building at
a cost not to exceed$375,000 and that $45,000 of this sum be raised
and appropriated from the neat Tax Levy of 1926, and that notes of
bonds be issued pay-^ble $ 33,000 yearly for 10 years . The vote was
9 in favor and 2 against, which vote was later made unanimous.
Meeting adjourned at 10:15 P.M.
Members present at this meeting were: Ch. Rusgles, Briggs,
Morrison, Fairchild, Knox, Logan, Moyer, Ellison, Scott, Farnum and
Porch.
