The meeting, wa• called to discuss the matter of the taking of land for school purposes and the awards on damages. Present at this meeting beside tlhe members noted were Ch. Parker, Mr. Trevor of the Selectmen and the members of the School Committee as follows : Ch. Shepardson, Davis, Carnes, Temple, Fowler, and Lumsden. Mr. Parker gave a ,teview of the facts regarding taking of land for school purposes and read the report of the special coun- sel in regard to the same. Ch. Shepardson presented proposed articles having a warrant for a special Town meeting regarding Junior High School and showed by chart the need of additional hous- ing capacity for all the grades, and presented figures of the esti- mate cost for building and equipment. It was voted to invite special counsel to meet with the finan- ce com, ittee on May 13. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M. Members present at this meeting were: Ch. Ru{ gles, Briggs, Haley, Fairheild, Knox, Devaney, Farnum, Scott, Sweetser. L. G. Bent Clerk. Meeting May 13, 1926. The meeting was calledto order at 8:10 P.M. Beside the members of the committee noted wee Mr. Parker, and Mr. Trevor of the Selectmen. Mr. Parker spoke regarding taking of lend for school pur- poses and explained the need of making awards for damages. C The counsel outlined the purpose of the Selectmen regarding taking of land and the necessity of the matter being handled by them more carefully. Article 2 of the warrant for .May 24, 1926 was presented by the Selectmen and it was voted to recommend. The School Committee was present regarding Articles drawn re- lative to Junior High School. The School Committee, Ch. Shepardson, Carnes, Temple, Fowler, and Superintendent Safford were present regarding Articles in the warrant for May 24, relative to proposed Junior High School. Meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.M. Members present at this meeting were: Chairman Otis B. Ruggles, �I Edward IN. Briggs, Morrison, Mollie A. Sweetser, James H. Farnum and Scott. L. G. Bent Clerk
