t ��. Meeting, February 15, 1926. I � i Apublic hearing was held, open to any citizen who wished to discuss any matter connected with the financial interests of the Town. The attendance was very small. Roland L. Perry appeared 'for Article 23. I A letter was read from George E. Lang, regarding Article 25. Henry R. Johnson appeared for Article 28, and Howard F. Bussell in behalf of Article 29. A general discussion was held regarding various articles in the warrant. The Treasurer, W. A. Bancroft presented the following esti- i mate: Insurance--$50009 Interest--18500, Treasurer's Salary-- $1500, Expenses $400. Members present at this meeting: Ch. Otis B. Ruggles, Edw. W. Briggs, Frederick -D. Sperry, Wm. A. Haley, Harry G. Porch, Margaret R. Ellison, Logan R. Dickie, and James W. Fairchild, L. G. Bent Clerk Meeting February 22, 1926. 19 � Meeting was called to order at 9:00 A.M. It was voted that no increase over 1925., having been pre- viously approved be recommended by single vote. It was voted to recommend that Treasurer's Salary be increased to ,$1600, and the salary of the Town Accountant be increased to $2000. It was voted not to recommend an increase in the salary of the Fire Dept. - It was voted to recommend that the salary of the Chief of Police be increased $300 and that the salary of the patrolmen be increased $200. All voting, voted in favor. , It was voted to recommend $500 under Article 9. It was voted to recommend that $10,000 be appropriated from the E. and D. Accounts and that $5000 be raised and appropriated from the Tax Levy from the payment of maturing dated for 1925. It was voted to recommend $56,000 for the Highway Dept.
