HomeMy WebLinkAbout1926-01-18 Finance Committee Minutes Meeting January 11, 1926 This is the first meeting of the Committee to consider bud- gets for 1926. Meeting was called to order by the clerk at 8:30 P.M. Mr. Clough having resigned as Chairman of the committee, Mr. s �. Otis B. Ruggles was elected Chairman. Chairman John W. Owen of the Board of Public Works presented Budgets of the various departments under his board for 1926. It was voted to authorize the Town Accountant to make trans- fer from the Reserve- Fund a sum not exceeding in total $1600 to the following accounts : - Collertor 's Expenses, Election Expenses, Insurance Account, Police Dept. Special Officers, Fire. Dept. i Salaries, Fire Alarm Maintenance, Forest, Warden, Mothers ' Aid, Temporary Aid, Soldier's Relief. Meeting adjourned- at 9:55 P.M. Meeting was called to order by Chairman at 8:10 P.M. ! Board of Cemetery Trustees was first heard. In the absence of the Chairman Galan A. Parker, Mr. Philip H. Tirrell Sect. read the report of the Cemetery Board and presented Budgets for 1926. The School Committee wap next heard. Ch. Walter A. Mansfield presented Budgets for 1926, asking for an increase of $1100 over 1925. \\ The Planning Board, Ch. M. F. Weston, appeared asking for $250. for expenses for Planning Board. Dr. E. M.
