�,. Meeting called to order at 8.05. Mr.E.B.Eames of the Board
of Assessors spoke on the duties of the board. Ir.Clark also spoke.
Mr.Hartshorn moved that the salaries of the Assessors be $3000.00.
Not v►ted. Mr. Connolly moved an amendeWcment to make the salaries
the same as last year.Voted. Mr.Parker moved and so voted that
the committee recommend that the Town adopt Chap.41 relative to
�. appointment of Assessors by Selectmen. (Mr.Shepardson will have pro-
per motion after consulting with Town Counsel.
Mr.haley moved and so voted that $1700.00 be recommended for
Assessor' Expenses.Mr.Haley moved and so voted that clerk's
salary be $1144.00 Mr.Hartshorn moved and so voted that $2140.26
be recommended for unpaid bills of the School Department, for 1923.
(la,. Mr.Sperry moved andso voted that $113.176.50 be recommended for
School Salaries. Mr.Carleton moved and so voted that Amount in
school budget for fuel be reduced from $10,000.00 to '$7,000.00.
Mr.Hartshorn moved and so voted that amount for transportation be
reduced from $2500.00 to $2000.00.Mr.Carleton moved and so voted
that all other items be recommended according to,the budget.
Voted to recommend ,$500.00 for Agricultural laint.and $4500.00 for
salaries and $800.00 for Tuition.
Voted that Chairman affix all names of of Committee to the
report. Members present,Shepardson,Carleton,Connolly,Devaney,
Ellison,Fairchild,Haley,Hartshorn,Parker,Sperry.

Meeting,Feb.26,1924
Meeting called to order at 8 o'clock. Chairman brought up
matter of 8ssessors'aaI&F168 expenses referring to street list
and suggested selling same to reduce expense. Mr.Farnum moved
that assessors'expenses be recommended $1300.00 instead of $1700.00
It was so voted. Moved to recommend that fire alarm box called for
In Article 30 be installed and thAt appropriation for fire alarm
be increased $200.00 to meet the cost. Matter of the Police Station
was taken up and a general discussion followed. Mr.Hartshorn moved
that the committee do not reeommend.Mr.Devaney offered ammendment
i that no report boring available,do not recommend.
Voted not to recommend Article 31 relative to ash collection.
Voted to recommend referring subject matter of Art.33 to the
Board of Public Works. Chairman read part of preamble to report,
relating to the Assessors which met with the approval of the
committee. A vote of thanks was tendered the Chairman for his
'�. faithful services. Meeting adjourned at 9.05 o'clock.
