The Committee first took up the matter of salary restoration and after some discussion, in order to bring the matter before the meeting.,. Mr. Robert moved., seconded by Mr. Neilson, that the Committee approve full salary re- storation beginning April 1st. An amendment was offered by Mr. Devaney providing for one-half restoration as of April 1st. This was amended by motion of Dr. Connelly providing for one-third restoration as of April 1st. The vote for one-third restoration was 3 in favor, 4 opposed. The vote for one-half restoration was 3 in favor, 5 opposed. The vote for full restoration was one in favor, 7 opposed. It was then moved by Mr. Roberts that the previous vote be reconsidered. This action was carried 7 in favor, none opposed, Mr. Roberts then again moved0for one-half restoration from April -lst and the vote was 7 in favor and one opposed. The Committee than took up the budgets of the Board of Public Works. on Motion of Mr. Roberts it was voted not to recommend the building of one unit for a Public Works Garage called for in Article 35 of the warrant, but to recommend that study be made by a Committee consisting of the Chairman of every Town Board with view to providing a suitable place for the storag of all town cars not now provided for, the building to also include the proper facilities for repairs to and care of cars and trucks, the Committee to report as soon as possible but not later than the annual town meeting of 1937• It was voted, on motion of Mr. Roberts that the Committee recommend the expenditure of $10,900 for new equipment for the Board of Public Works as shown on the last sheet of the Public Works budget. The following budgets were then taken up: Cemetery Department (#28) It was voted to recommend $8,750 for Laurel Hill and $700 for Forest Glen. NOTE: $1,000 ,to be appr' opriated :&om Cemete Reserve for Forest Glen, called for in Article 45- School Department: It was voted not to recommend Article 30 call(Edg for an appropriation of X5,300 for the High School Repairs. It was voted to recommend X866 for Maintenance Sheet #1, $10,957 Sheet #2, $11p675 Sheet #2,, $6,713 Sheet #3, '4'3,150 Sheet #3,. X6,632 Sheet #3,, Sheet #4 $2,862 Sheet #4, $500 Industrial Tuition. It was voted to recommend the appropriation for salaries figuring o n the basis of one-half restoration from April 1st. It was voted that the Municipal Light Department be asked to pay to the Town Treasurer $20,000 in 1936, in lieu of taxes. Dis. 6,500.00 Memorial Day Observance 600.00 The Chairman brought up the subject of the Town Physician and it was voted to invite the doctors to a conference with the Committee on the evening of February 26th.
