Meeting of the Finance Committee February 5, 1936.
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman at eight o' clock.
The Planning Board first appeared, Chairman White, Mr. .Tatts and Mr.
Parker. per. White spoke at some length regarding she work accompalished
by the Planning* Board and its future plans for the making of surveys and
studies relating to the needs of the Town. He explained the various maps
which had been made under W.P.A. and showed the value to the Town, both
now and for future years.
The budget of the Planning~ Board was taken up and Mr. Ihite explained
the reason for the increased appropriation for 1936.
The Board of Public Works next anpeared,e Chairman Putnam, Mr. Bancroft,
Mr. Fowle and Supt. Welch. The budget of the various department under thi;
Board were discussed and many ques-Lions were asked vegarding the same.
The final matter discussed was in regard to salary restoration. The
matter was quite thoroughly discussed but no vote was taken, it being sugges-
that a vote on the question be deferred until the next meeting.
The Clerk was instructed to give notice of a public meeting for the
discussion of the warrant on Wednesday evening, February 19th.
