January 17,1936
Meeting was called to order by Chairman at 7.55,p.m.,and records
of last mmeting were read and approved.
The following letter wasi%� en to the Clerk by the Chairman with
the request that he read the same.
""Will you please accept my resignation as Chairman of the
Finance Committee to take effect immediately upon my successor
being chosen.
I regret very much that I find it necessary to do this,
but feel that I have served a long period at much sacrifice to
myself and that my duties at present are entirely too arduous.
I wish to take this opportunity oaf expressing to my fellow
members of the Committee my appreciation of their fine cooperation
with me and consideration of me during my service as their Chairman."

It was voted that no action be taken upon the above letter until
Wednesday evening,Jan,22nd. the date of the next meeting.
The budgets of 1936,as many as had been received,were then taken
up as follows :- Board of Public Works,Departments under the juri-
sdiction of the Board of Selectmen and some of the other regular
budgets.
General mattebs connected with the consideration of 1936 financial
affairs of the town were talked over but no votes were taken.
a poll was taken as t6 what the tax rate should be for the year
19561resulting as follows:- $33.00, (3) $32.00 (2) $32.50 (1)
31.50 (1) 30.00 (2) .
The meeting adjourned at 10.20 p.m.
Members present, Ch.Mount,Haley,Deveney,Trevor,Noyes,Cotton,
Canty,Roberts and Davis.
