The meeting was called to order at eight otelockt by the Chairman,
-'` The records of the meetings of December 27, 1934 and January 2, 19359
were read and approved.
A letter was received from the Board of Public Works relative to
hydrant rentals in which they stated that $10.00 per hydrant per year
it the amount requested for rentals. It was voted not to recommend
the additional rental in view of the fact that no taxes are paid to
the Town. It was suggested that certain economies might be brought
about in the Water Department which would make up for the lower rate.
The committee then took up the discussion of the various budgets
following the Rules of Procedure as to the third meeting,
.� The budget of the Board of Public Works was first considered and
various suggestions were made to the su -gwittpe;t regarding, items
which could be discussed with the Board,,;>#a view of a reduction of the
amount,$asked.
The budget of the school Department was next considered and gone
over with the same object in view. Also the budgets of the various
departments as submitted.
It was agreed that ,the sub-committees would contact with the
respective departments and report back at the next meeting January 16th.
It was voted that the Committee visit the School buildings on
Sunday January 13th.
Meeting adjourned 10.40 P.M.
Members present: Chm. Mount, Canty, Connelly, Devaney, Dickie, Ellison,
Haley, Knox, Roberts, Scott, Sturges.
