Hopkins, Johnson, Kilgore, and Super- intendent Welch were present. 1953 Records of December 14.,nread and approved. Received two letters from Whitman & Howard as follows: 1. Listing bids received December 14, 1953 for sewer Pumping station equipment and recommending that contract be awarded to the low bidder Ralph P. Hall, Inc. 2. Listing bids received December 14, 1953 for sewer pumping station and discussing the desire of the low bidder the L. & T. Construction Company to withdraw their bid. Discussed awarding of contracts with Town Counsel. Voted to award the contract for the sewer pumping station equip- ment to the low bidder Ralph P. Hall, Inc. , of Stoneham, Mass. Voted to award the contract for the sewer pumping station to the low bidder the L. & T. Construction Company of Melrose, Mass. Discussed at length and in detail the proposed 1954 Budget and the broad aspects of Departmental policy affecting same. Voted to submit to Finance Committee the Budget as amended.
