The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at '
7:30 P.M.
Messrs. Hopkins, Kilgore, and Superintendent Welch were present.
Mr. Hopkins acted as Chairman.
Hearing at 7:30 P.M. on proposed sever extension in Charles
Street from near Main Street to Pearl Street.
Following persons present:

-Mr. Contzen of 6 Kelch Road conferred with Board requesting a
water main be extended to his home at a reduced rate also that the
service be installed to his house at a reduced rate.
Laid on table.
Received petition from two abuttorson County Road - Nos. 51 &
52 - requesting sewer be extended to service their properties.
Placed on file pending preparation of plan and availability of
funds.
Received copy of letter sent to A. Cefalo & Sons by Bernard
Whitney, State Building Inspector which orders Cefalo not to build masonr '
ry walls of High School until ledge . inroadway is removed.
Three young girls conferred with Board requesting dates for
baseball for themselves and about 20 other girls.
Superintendent instructed to see if dates can be issued for

Birch Meadow.
Received bids at 8 :00 P. M. for two sidewalk tractors.
Following bids received.
H. F. Davis Tractor Company - Oliver Tractors, - Net Bid 'for two
tractors - v$i5,620.00.
Taken under advisement.
Mr. Donald Gray and Philip Carleton conferred with Board relative
to proposed driveways for their garage and yard at the corner of Main
Street and Minot Street.
No action taken.
Received letter from Board of Selectmen relative to land for
Little league Field at the corner of Pleasant Street and Eaton Street.
Attached plan shows area of gift land.
