The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:00 P. M.
Chairman Hopkins, Messrs. Donahue, Johnson, Walker and
Superintendent Welch were present.
Received letter from James Mercer Jr. ,Formorly of 11 Oak
Street requesting an abatement on the sewer house connection bill at
this property.
Voted not to grant any abatement.
Received letter from Neighborhood Betterment Assoc, inviting
Board to attend a meeting on February 25, 1953 to discuss Town Meeting
Warrant.
Voted to have representative of Board attend. '
Received letter from George Rich, ll Jadem Terrace requesting
that snow be plowed from Jadem Terrace during each snow atom.
Taken under advisement.
Hearing at 7:30 P. M. on proposed drain easement off Harvard
Street through lands of Wasserboehr between lots 64 & 65.
Following persons present.

Voted to take easement as proposed between Lots 64 &- 65 and to
recommend to Town that the present drain easement between Lots 65 & 66
be abandoned.
Hearing at 7:30 P. M. on proposed change in grade for Harvard- ,
Street between Ste. 0+00 & Ste. 7+52 (Refer to Plan No. A-6-29)

Hearing at 8;15 P. M, on proposed acceptance as a public way
of Harvest Road from Torre Street to Track Road and also for Track
Road in its entirety from Line Road 3emicrcularly to Line Road.

A lengthy and detailed discussion on the design and estimate
' took place,

It was moved seconded and voted not to recommend to the Town
the acceptance of these roads as public ways, ,
Mr. Johnson and Mr. Walker conferred with Selectmen relative to -
obtaining larger office space for Board of Public Works.
They discussed possibility of Board of Public Works taking over
Rooms 18 and 19 and releasing Rooms 14 and 15.
Selectmen took matter under consideration.
Conferred with Finance Committee on proposed 19$3 Budget.
Conference lasted about two hours. No specific budget totals agreed on
except house connection account which will total 06,500 by mutmal
agreement. All other totals taken under advisement.
Adjourned at 11:50 P.M.
