HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-12-29 Board of Public Works Minutes December 29, 1952 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7;00 P.M. Chairman Hopkins, Messrs, Donahue, Kilgore, Johnson and Super- intendent Welch were present. Received notice from Selectmen that they have amended the traffic laws of the Town to permit daylight coasting on Wescroft Road. Discussed, in general, certain classification problems. Temporarily adjourned at 7;30 P.M. to meet as Board of Survey. Reconvened at 8;30 P.M. Voted to hold meetings of Board on Monday, January 5, 1953 and on Monday, January 12, 1953. Received petition requesting extension of the sewer in Charles Street from Harrison Street to near Main Street. Placed on file pending preparation of plan and a hearing. Considered request of James Halfyard requesting that the Town plow Franklin Terrace during snow storms. Voted to plow Franklin Terrace. Received petition requesting that Wentworth Road from Lewis Street to a point 200 feet southeasterly be accepted as a public way. Placed on file pending preparation of a plan and the holding of a hearing.
