1 Reading, Mass., April 27, 1942
The regular meetingof theBoardof Public Works opened at 7:30 P.M.
Messrs. Davis, Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer, and Superintendent
Welch were present. -
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Following Granite Curbing application received, approved and
placed on file.
George Abbott - 32 Mineral Street -
Received letter from Mrs. Josephine Tuttle in relation to
extending the sewer to 934 Main St, and also piping the ditch in the
rear of the property.
Voted to pipe -ditch when funds become available.
Voted .to omit the proposed Temple St. Drain from this year's
program and substitute therefore several small drain jobs.
Chief Eames conferred w ith Board in relation to control of fires
at the Dump.
Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on proposed drainage easement off Bond St.
through lands of Royal Jaques and Martin Hartshorn (Lots . 14 & 1$) .
No one present.
Voted to make Taking.
Signed Order of Taking.
Hearing at 8:10 P.M. on proposed J.O.pole locations(38/4 & 38/3)
on Harrison St, near Orange St, on the easterly side.
No one present.
Locations granted and petitions signed.
Hearing at 8:10 P.M. on proposed J.O, pole location (81/13) on
the southerly side of Scotland Rd, approx. 400 ft, westerly from Sigsbee
Ave.
No one present..
Location grm ted and petition signed. _
Received petition from N.E.T. & T. Co. for new location _
for pole 201/7_ on John Carver, Rd. at Harvard St. Pole. is to be moved 121
northerly.

Hearing at 8:1$ P.M. on proposed drain easement off Lawrence
Rd. through lands of Lee Ellsworth (Lots 12 & 13) .
Mr. Lee Ellsworth present and in favor.
Voted to make Taking aid signed Order of Taking.
Hearing at 8:1$ P.M. on proposed drain easement off Lawrence
Rd. thraugh lands of Herbert Boynton and Spring Realty Co.(Lots 16 & 17) .
Mr. Francis Spring present and in favor.
Voted to make Taking and signed Order of Taking. '
Voted to issue permit to Girls High School Tennis Team to
reserve two tennis courts at Birch Meadow three afternoons per
week until the end of the school year.
