HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-10-06 Board of Public Works Minutes Reading, Mass. , October 6, 1941. The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened ' at 7:30 P.M. - Messrs. Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Voted to omit meeting of October 13, 1941. Received letter from Town Counsel relative to authority of Board in cases of encroachments on public highways. Received letter from Helen R. Grimes stating she will trim hedge at her property on Prospect Street sothat it will not encroach on public way. Mr. Earl Steele and Mr. Charles Sweetser to see Board in regard to abatements on sewer assessments on Gilmore Avenue. Matter laid on table until October 20, 1941. Signed Easement for water main for Swan- Road. Signed Order of Taking for relocation of easterly sideline of Manning Street from Salem Street to Pleasant Street.
