HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-09-29 Board of Public Works Minutes 56 Reading, Mass. , September 29, 1941 The regular meting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Davis. 3roph7i Lindsay, Lathrop, Teor and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Voted abatement of $5.75 on sewer bill of Clara Baldwin, 3 Gilmore Avenue. Voted to write owners of property on Prospect Street and Middle Street requesting that a hedge and a fence be fixed so that they will not hang over onto public way. Voted to authorize Superintendent to sign agreement with Petroleum Heat & Power Company for oil supply protection for coming winter season. Voted to approve petition of New England Tel. & Tel. Co. for pole location 100 ft. Southerly from Granger Ave. on Haverhill Street. Voted to construct walks at the Junior High School from Temple Street' to the building and football field.
