Davis, Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer, and Superin- tendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved, Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved and placed on file, Stephen Talbot - 87 John Street Lawrence Crosby - 64. Grand Street It was voted to pay the Laing Chevrolet Company the sum of .;,12,50 in lieu of turning in to them the old Chevrolet Sewer Truck, It was voted to dismantle the horse shoe courts at Washington Street Park and Memorial Park, It was voted to request the Finance Committee for the following transfers: A. From Reserve Fund to Sidewalk Construction & Maint. $1,050. B. " " " " Highway Aect, for Curbing $ 900. It was voted to request a mseting with the Finance Committee to discuss the raising of $p10,000.00 for the Water Department. Hearing under Board of Survey at 6:00 P.Y. Eastern Daylight time on proposed lines and grades for Hawthorne Road from Wadsworth Road to Whittier Road. Following persons present: Fire Chief Eames - wishes name of street established as other than Hawthorne Road as Hawthorne sounds some- what like Hartshorn. MI 148 It was voted to name the proposed street as Tennyson Road. Voted to approve the lines and grades as proposed for the above location. Hearing at 8:1$ P.M. on petition of New England Tel. & Tel. Go. for underground conduit locations on Springvale Road from Coolidge Road to a point $60 feet westerly of Coolidge Road. No one present. Locations granted. Hearing at 8:20 P.M. on petition of the New England Tel. & Tel. Co. and the Municipal Light Company for a pole location on the northerly corner of Lowell Street and Pilgrim Road. No one present. Location granted: 1 Voted permit to New England'Tel. & Tel. Co. and Municipal Light Board for four(4) pole locations on Pilgrim Road from Lowell Street to Bradford Road. Locations are same as previously covered by a private permit from abutters. Voted to New England Tel. & Tel. Co. and Municipal Light Co. to relocate pole 26/11 on Forest St. 20 £t. westerly. Voted permission to Reading Fire Dept. to install undergroung conduits on the northerly side of Pleasant St. from Middle St. to John Street and on the easterly side of Lowell St. opposite High Street. Voted to connect the water mains on Lowell St. & Causeway Road by crossing the Lowell St. bridge over head. Received letter from Mr. George Tabor requesting Board to agree to naming a proposed street opposite his house on Main St. as Putnam Road. Board voted to approve name subject to confirmation by a future Board at time of acceptance under Board of Survey. 149 It was moved, seconded and voted to amend the Rules and Regulation of the Board of Survey by adding the following amend- ment, viz; All necessary plans and profiles including all survey details, as provided In these Rules and Regulations, shall be filed in the Office of the Board of Survey at least one month prior to the first advertisement of a hearing, or at least six weeks prior to the date of any hearing, Hearing dates will be selected based on the requirements set forth in this paragraph, Signed Board of Survey plan for Tennyson Road, Signed Orders of Assessment for Granolithic Sidewalk and Granite Curbing Betterment Construction, Board adjourned 8:4$ P.M.
