The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Brophy, Lindsay, Lathrop, Tear and Superintendent Welch
were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Voted to do following work for Fred Hersem, Jr.
A. Regrade Tree lawn on Pilgrim Road
B. Travel fill 6 or 8 ft, at from of driveway to meet
grade at back of sidewalk. ,
C. Cover Driveway Aprdn across sidewalk with a Bituminous
Concrete Mix.
Hearing at 8:00 P. M. under Board of Survey on the approval
(mentioned
lines and grades for Fairmount Road from the and of the present
lic way approximately 140 feet northerly.
No one present.
Voted to approve lines and grades as shown on plan of above
location.
Voted to appoint Mr. Davis and Mr. Tear to serve on the
'committee established by vote of the Special Town Meeting held
June 23, 1941.
Hearing at 8:15 P, M. under Board of Survey on the approval
of lines and grades for Hillside Road from the end of the present
public way approximately 190 feet westerly.
No one present.
Voted to approve lines and grades as shown on plan of above
mentioned location. '
Voted to make rough repairs to the Memorial park Building to
the exten6 of $225.00.
Hearing at 8:30 P.M. on the petition of the New England Tel
& Tel. Co.

and the Municipal Light Company for five pole locations on Bond Street
approximately 484 feet south westerly from Lowell Street.
No one present.
Locations granted and permit signed.
Voted to resurface two Tennis courts at Birch tladow and to
roughly cover the abutting edges of all tennis courta.
Received signed copy of 1941 Chapter Maintenance Contract from
the State Department of Public Works.
Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved
and placed on file.

Considered Water Department Financial problems.
